B.C.C.I.S. continues to meet the requirements for recognition as a Certified British Columbia Program. The November 2010 certification visit was very successful and BCCIS is certified until June 2012. A team will once again visit the school in November or December of 2011 to inspect the school.
Some comments from the November visit are as follows:
The inspection team commends the BCCIS on the following: • The Authority is commended on its continued commitment to develop a superb educational facility with ample resources to support the school program. The costly investment in the building and resources is impressive. There have been additions to the building in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010! • The BC Principal’s visionary leadership in directing the program. • The teacher’s purposeful teaching of English across the curriculum. • Teachers are commended for the purposeful way that their planning is put into practice and the evident results in student work.
"The Inspection Team has determined that the British Columbia program offered at The British Columbia Canadian International School in Cairo, Egypt, for Kindergarten through grade 12, continues to be recognized as a Certified British Columbia Program" (quotation from the report made by the Ministry Inspection team February 2008).
In the report from the November 2009 visit the inspection team commends the BCCIS on the following:
• the Authority’s commitment to support student learning by providing excellent facilities and educational resources.
• program in a pedagogically effective way and also their purposeful teaching of English across the curriculum.
• the diligence and hard work of the students as they strive to complete the requirements for a BC Dogwood certificate.
The 2010 - 2011 Certificate of Certification Status
