Head of Preschool
2010 will be my third year at BCCIS and as head of the early childhood department (pre-school KG1) at BCCIS, I am looking forward to nurturing existing relationships and establishing new ones, with the staff, parents, and children in 2010 . My experience in working with children, outside of my current position at BCCIS, includes raising my own children, social-work practice with young children and youth, being a grandma, and twelve plus years as an early childhood educator in various roles. I love my work and am very passionate about all aspects relating to the educating and raising of young children. My interests outside of school are mainly of the creative nature. I love to write and have attempted some simple vignettes of my life and others. I have no professional training but like to play with paints and drawing. I am very enthusiastic about the growth and progress happening in our department. This year we will be opening with four classes and looking to expand to five within the coming year. We have a great team of professional teaching and support staff, all of whom value the importance of community. My current position at BCCIS is preschool and KG1 teacher. I have been teaching this age group for 9 years, I enjoy and love what I do; I particularly enjoy watching the children grow and develop into confident individuals. I am a big fan of art, I love to paint and design different objects, I also like travelling; it allows me to mix with different cultures and people.
