“BCCIS – a pathway to excellence”

B.C.C.I.S is a British Columbia school situated in Cairo, offering both Elementary and High School Programs. It offers the British Columbia program from pre-school to Gr.12. All subjects are taught in English and all the academic staff must be British Columbia College of Teachers certified. The school is certified by The British Columbia Ministry of Education and it is inspected annually.

High school courses average 140 hours of instruction, except for English, where B.C.C.I.S offers 240 hours per course. Gr.12 academic subjects have government final exams and B.C.C.I.S students write these exams under the same conditions as students in B.C. The exams are sent to B.C where they are marked by government supervisors. The results are released August 1st and are sent directly to the universities to which students have applied. Thus, the universities can be assured of the quality of the applicants. The B.C graduation diploma is recognized by universities throughout the English speaking world.

B.C.C.I.S has an Honor Roll system with 2 levels. The Honor Roll awards are given to students averaging 73% (B average) or higher in key academic subjects. The Principal's Roll of academic excellence is for students averaging 86% (A average) or higher.
